Recommendations by Sector

The following sections discuss energy use and recommendations for reducing energy use in a cost-effective manner for eight key commercial sectors, four key industrial sectors (including "general industrial"), and the agricultural sector in Colorado.

Not every ENERGY EFFICIENCY MEASURE will be applicable in every business in the sector, but businesses can get an idea of where to look for energy savings from the "menu" of measures for their sector. Businesses should conduct an energy audit, or have such an audit done by an engineering firm or energy service company, to determine which measures are relevant for their facility.
