Honeywell’s Automation and Control Solutions Division (ACS) has been in the Energy Performance Contracting Services (EPCS) business since 1982, and through 2001 has successfully implemented over 4300 projects with a total value of nearly $2.4 billion. Recent projects:

Recent Colorado projects of note include a lighting retrofit, new rooftop HVAC units, 3 new boilers, a district-wide energy management system, and building system recommissioning for 18 buildings in the Pueblo 70 School District in Pueblo; a lighting retrofit, mechanical systems retrofit, boiler replacement and retrofit, and energy management system for 17 buildings in Glenwood Springs for the Roaring Fork School District; a base-wide lighting retrofit, chiller optimization, and energy management system for Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado Springs; and a boiler replacement, chiller replacement, lighting retrofit, variable speed pumping, steam trap replacement, water conservation, and utility rate negotiations for the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Boulder.

Use of savings guarantees:

Honeywell offers a variety of performance based guarantees to customers, including energy savings guarantees, operational savings guarantees, environmental condition guarantees, and an equipment uptime guarantee. Guarantees typically run for 10 to 20 years. Honeywell has guaranteed $2.4 billion in savings without ever defaulting on a guarantee.

Financing options:

Honeywell offers customized financial solutions for its customers that include various financing options at very competitive rates. Honeywell has agreements with multiple financial institutions with the experience and portfolios to finance any performance contracting project. When a project requires third party financing, Honeywell competitively selects among these financial institutions to acquire the most favorable terms. Its excellent credit rating and successful track record allows Honeywell to secure financing at favorable rates without delay – projects can expect funds to be available within 14 days of delivery order execution.
